Re: CA Code - Carry Over Personal Leave Days

Pursuant to the recently implemented Memorandum of Agreement, effective December 21, 2007, ground service employees now have the option of receiving payment for all or part of any Personal Leave Days that were carried over.

In determining the proper manner in which to utilize this option, we are advised by BNSF Comp Systems that the claim should be submitted under CA Code CO. When using this code, the employee will be prompted to enter the number of days being claimed, a start date and an end date. Enter a start and end date that are consistent with the amount of carry over days you are claiming, even if you performed other compensated service on those dates. This should generate payment of those days in the time period claimed.
